uploaded this via Flickr itself, hopefully you will be able to see the picture on a larger scale - otherwise you can't read it and then I will have to type it all over again and that would be a bit too much ;)

Ha - now this is a novel way of blogging :) Another bright idea sprouted from the great photosite of Flickr. More explaining later. Posted by Picasa

Close-up of the plaster cast - see the little cushioned pillows it consists of?

Just a few days before we were going on holiday to the seaside :(

Luckily they have waterproof plaster casts nowadays so she won't miss too much of the fun - and they're a lot lighter to carry around too!

Added bonus - Laila is really a very caring, considering sister now, so the atmosphere is less stressed - holidays tend to fray nerves sometimes after a few weeks ;)

This is a test post from flickr, a fancy photo sharing thing.

Thanks Steve! I found the Make Poverty History white ribbon on your blog and put it on mine now too - anyone who wants it too, click it and it will bring you to the site with all kinds of info...

Actually, I should bring a bit more 'me' into this blog, but with this thing and the other, I never found enough time to really put me to the task of doing it - another thing I should add to my 43 things - when I can find them back that is...

It's Carnaval! Leaving home for school - of course Oki has to be in the picture too! Can you guess what they are (hint: Yasmina was a caterpillar last year!) Posted by Hello

It's that time of the year again - school picture time! Posted by Hello

It's their very first one not in uniform - maybe that's why they're all smiles :)
But for the rest the picture conforms to the proper school picture laws - crooked cardigan, hair all fluffy, glasses halfway their nose - ah well, they will look with nostalgia back to this picture when they're as old as me ;)

I'm home, so here's the picture of Jack and his friends - youngest blinked for the flash - it was pitch black outside already... Posted by Hello

This picture has been circulating already and loads of people have said how beautiful my girls' hair is - btw, thanks for that! - and I must admit, they're blessed with a nice glossy coat :) Now I will never be able to use the threat of cutting their hair anymore, rats....

Monday morning...

Say, wasn't there a song that began like that? I remember it being much more upbeat than I feel now - it's 10.41 am and here I am again, trying to look busy for when the boss comes round. Two colleagues are off sick too, so I can't even talk the time away, I'm sitting here all on my own in a big office - sob...

Ah well, it can only benefit my course work - I will be able to send another homework today...

The kids and I made a Jack o'Lantern - go here to see a picture - don't seem to be able to upload Hello to get the pic posted at work. Will try and do it from home this evening...

Meh. I'm bored. At work but nothing to do. Created all the excel files I could possibly create, added statistics, made formulae to my bosses' content and now twiddling my thumbs. Or rather, typing this post. I wanted comic sans ms - I love the font, so what? - but it doesn't seem to be on the pull-down menu at blogger - meh again...

Another hour or so and I can do my usual bike round to the post office and the townhall - at least some fresh air - I'm almost falling asleep on my keyboard; all Oki's fault - our cat - she insisted on sleeping with me last night (nights are getting chillier) but the only place she wanted to curl up was in the crook of my knees. Any sneaky movements my side to try and get my legs untangled resulted in comments - and a possesive paw on my leg... At 4 in the morning I gave up and put on the light to read a bit. After an hour or so put the light out again. Of course, when the alarm went off at 7 I felt rather rumpled - and the cat was still hogging the best spot of the bed. Amazing how such a small animal can manage to be even more possesive in bed than a husband - and I thought when I got rid of the latter I would be able to move around in bed - ha!

Mmmm.... I think I will take a sheet of paper (always a sheet of paper, never a cup of coffee!) and go for walkies - maybe I manage to find something to do on the way...
